Inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s simple quote about building your castle in the clouds and then building foundations underneath it to support it. This deeply touched me as I think we all have dreams which may seem impossible to achieve, and yet, this is not so. It’s the negativity that we’ve heard since our childhood that creates the fear and hopelessness within us.  We grow up doubting ourselves, thinking/believing that we do not have any gifts or talents that make us unique, and that our hopes will die in the clouds.  Thoreau taught me not to listen to these negative teaching, and to instead, have faith in my hopes and dreams by building the foundations beneath my sandcastle so that it can become reality.
