How To Help

"A gift of Kindness helps a child embrace life with new hope"

How To Help!
Call Free Arts at 310-313-4278 to talk about the following ways you can help abused children.

Become A Volunteer
Free Arts is always recruiting dedicated individuals that want to donate their time to help others. Here are some ways you can volunteer!

  • Programs – Reach victims of abuse through one of our many art programs.
  • Fundraisers – Attend fundraising events and help raise money for our Free Arts programs.
  • Office – Lend a helping hand at our office by answering phones, photocopying and packing art supplies.

Share Your Skills
Offer to lead a training session for other volunteers in an art skill.

Make A Donation
  • Financial Gifts – Your financial donation can make a difference in the lives of abused children.
  • In-Kind Donations – We are always looking for contributions that will reduce program costs. Take a look at some of the ways you can help out!

    •  Provide conference space for our training sessions.
    •  Donate new art supplies for our programs.
    •  Provide free printing for newsletters, stationery, cards, etc.

  • Tickets – Donate tickets to the theatre, museum, events, etc. that we can give to children of abuse.
  • Your Car – Donate your car to Free Arts for Abused Children by contacting Cars for Causes and receive a tax deduction. Cars for Causes can be reached by dialing 1-800-766-2273.

Sponsor A Free Arts Day
Free Arts Day sponsorships range from $500 to $2,500. Free Arts Days allow children in a residential facility to experience a one-day festival of the arts. Individuals, service groups and corporations may sponsor this event, providing volunteers and helping select art projects for the day.

Support The Courthouse Programs
$1000 provides art supplies for one month at the Edelman Children's Courthouse. Free Arts volunteers lead children and often their adult caretakers in simple arts and crafts projects as they wait for their court hearings.

Send A Tribute Card
Honor someone special for any occasion with a contribution to Free Arts for Abused Children. For a birth, wedding, anniversary, birthday, get well or memorial just call the office and we will send a personalized card to commemorate the occasion.

Check Your Company For Matching Funds
Your gift to Free Arts for Abused Children may be worth more than you think! See if your company has an employee gift-matching program, and then help us double your gift with a corporate match.

Have A Party
Host a party (birthday, graduation, anniversary holiday or other special occasion) and ask your friends or business associates to make a donation to Free Arts for Abused Children in lieu of gifts. Or just have a “crayon party” for any reason, with the price of admission being a bag of art supplies.

Serve On A Committee
Put your ideas and abilities to use by serving on one of our committees. Contributing members are needed for our Public Relations, Newsletter, Programs, Special Events and Fundraising Committees.
